New in Ghost 3.5.0

On February 5th, Ghost was updated to its newest version 3.5.0, bringing the following changes/improvements:

✨ Added new fields to members CSV import
✨ Added default and custom post views (filters) to the admin sidebar
πŸ’„ Β Added shadow to What's new footer
πŸ› Fixed mobile style bug for sidebar views
πŸ› Fixed deletion of custom integrations
πŸ’„ Β Casper the default theme) has been upgraded to 3.0.7

Lets see with more details these changes:

✨ Added new fields to members CSV import

There are now new fields that are accepted through the members CSV import endpoint. These are:

  1. subscribed_to_emails - corresponds to subscribed flag in API.
  2. stripe_customer_id - links existing Stripe customer to created member.
  3. complimentary_plan - flag controlling "Complimentary" plan subscription creation for imported member.

This is a welcoming addition to people that have great list of members, and would like to import them with detail from the beginning.

Trust me, it is a pain in the ass to have to assign complimentary plans and check if its subscribed for 100/200 + people. Its way easier to do all the "dirty work" in excel (or equivalent) first.

✨ Added default and custom post views (filters) to the admin sidebar

List custom post views in collapsable sidebar navigation:

  1. Default views: Draft, Scheduled, Published (except for contributors)
  2. Record expanded/collapsed state of the navigation menus in user settings via new navigation service
Warning: This is not yet reflected on the native apps, only in the web.

Improved discoverability of having more content/scrollable area by adding a small shadow to the footer.

πŸ› Fixed mobile style bug for sidebar views

Fixed the size of the expand/collapse chevron in sidebar for mobile.

πŸ› Fixed deletion of custom integrations

No further comments honestly.

πŸ’„ Casper (the default theme) has been upgraded to 3.0.7

It was updated to reflect some of the changes pushed to the platform with version 3.5.0

As always, Ghost PRO members (like me) are already enjoying this benefits. If you a hosting your blog in another place, please update it manually.
